Senne Lammens hasn’t convinced me with his shot-stopping, but blaming him alone misses the bigger problem.

Look at the structure. Yoro, Tielemans and Mazraoui all have questions to answer. Why is Maitland-Niles completely free when United have almost everyone inside their own box?

That is not defending your box. That is occupying your box. Numbers mean nothing if nobody is responsible for the danger.

Maitland-Niles hit it brilliantly, but United made the shot possible. And on the first goal, Lammens has to protect his near post better.

Two goals, two problems. United aren’t just defending badly. They’re defending without enough clarity.

We warned about the marginalisation and eradication of generational match-going Reds. Nobody listened.

We warned about the Americanisation of our game. Nobody cared.

We warned that if Ratcliffe didn’t change direction, he’d become another Glazer in all but name.

Polls said give him more time.

So we did.

We even postponed a protest at Arsenal because fans wanted to give him more time. Again we got abuse.

That decision demotivated lads in The 1958 who have sacrificed years of their lives, time, money and energy fighting for this fanbase and never asked for a thing in return. Some lads had personal abuse. Not after sympathy, those are the facts.

We never asked for nothing in return. We always preferred to be pissing from the outside in. Stood shoulder to shoulder with you.

We have banged on about unity since day one.

And for the last 12 months we have spent an unbelievable amount of time trying to make it happen.
