When you think you’re ok after a tense situation but then it creeps up on you. It’s not fun because your body reacts to the situation that happened, even though I thought I was fine. Had a massive panic attack on Thursday the day after the arrest while trying to work; and have been dealing with high blood pressure (from the stress) & pain in my chest.
When a person feels their life or the lives of others are in danger, their body goes into a state of heightened alertness, like an ‘emergency mode’. This activates internal alarms and provides a burst of energy to increase the chances of survival.
Usually, people only remain in this emergency mode for a short time or until the immediate threat passes. Being in this heightened state consumes essential energy resources, often leaving you feeling exhausted afterward.
The body’s natural healing and recovery process involves returning to a normal state of balance and calmness. The internal alarms switch off, the excess energy subsides, and the body resets itself. Typically, this process takes about a month to complete.
HOWEVER, if this is how I feel, imagine how it feels for the people who were physically hurt by police; had their backs and necks pushed down by multiple officers; punched, etc… imagine the stress/trauma they are going through. We can be tough all we want, but our spirits and bodies will respond to the danger anyway.
It’s important to face it, pray, exercise, write, or express in a way that’s comfortable so that it can be expelled from your spirit and body. I know Two-Guns, the beautiful young man who was traumatically roughed up by police this week is struggling and my heart goes out to him. Please pray for him and the others who are experiencing violence.
Also, if people have experienced past traumas in their life those experiences can be triggered in these situations which can make it a lot more difficult to manage. So think about the trauma of generations that many people carry and are unable to expel it from their beings, the consequences are stifling.
Take care of your spirits. ❤️🙏🏾❤️
Millennials feel hopeless. Our generation has been robbed of the same opportunities our parents had. Much of this has been caused by the provincial Conservative governments who have destroyed anything that could help us. Sadly, Pierre & his Cons will make things worse. #cdnpoli
@RichardCityNews Thank you for renewing your Ontario drivers license and be sure to take advantage of this week’s sale on grossly overpriced inkjet printer cartridges!!
Doug Ford claims he has to be a “prudent fiscal manager”. Here’s a 🧵 thread on some of his prudent fiscal history, starting with:
“Fiscal restraint? Doug Ford's Ontario government spent billions more than Wynne had planned in 2018-19”

So now Ontario taxpayers are on the hook to pay for retrofitting Staples for these Service Ontario kiosks. How much are we paying them monthly for renting this space? How much will these renovations cost?
Doug Ford is one of the worst businessmen ever. #onpoli
Doug Ford’s Conservatives have never been “for the people”. The only ones they “get it done” for are developers and corporations like Staples, Shoppers, and private spa companies. Ontario deserves way better than this incompetent and corrupt government. #onpoli
Doug Ford,
So you will be using our taxes to renovate a US-owned corporation named Staples, while you relocate all Service Ontario locations to kiosks inside Staples.
“Some of the soon-to-be-shuttered locations have been family businesses for decades and owners were given just 70 days’ notice that their business was being closed.”
Who do you think you are? Who did you consult to arrive at this corrupt and greedy decision? Ontarians deserve better. We’re done with your endless corruption. Ontario is not for sale.

When Ontarians thought free car registration was a great idea, they were playing right into Doug Ford’s plan to break public sector unions.
Reduce the revenue, then force cuts in public sector employees because there’s no longer enough money to cover expenses. Then privatize it.
@StreamOnMax How does a corporation expect the people who supported one of their most hilarious, creative, diverse, inclusive, popular, and boundary pushing new flagship originals to just disappear and not complain? #saveofmd
