Wow, I still can’t believe how much love my MSc post got! 🥹
I’m Tega, and honestly, I wear many hats 💅🏽
Petroleum Chemist : my research interest is focused on biodegradable ways to clean oil spills in the Niger Delta
It’s been a while since I last picked up a book, but today I found myself reaching for Instinct by T.D. Jakes.
The book explores the idea that every person has an inborn drive and unique purpose. It challenges you to stop ignoring your intuition, embrace the gifts you’ve been given, and act with courage instead of fear.
Maybe this is the reminder I needed. Time to start reading again.

Are you aware of Agentic AI?
Unlike traditional AI systems that simply respond to prompts, Agentic AI can take actions, make decisions, and work toward achieving a goal with a certain level of autonomy.
For example:
With traditional AI, you might say: “Write an email to a client.”
The AI writes the email, and that’s where the interaction ends.
With Agentic AI, the instruction could be:
“Help me close this client.”
The AI could then:
• Research the client and their business
• Draft a personalized outreach email
• Schedule follow-ups
• Monitor responses
• Suggest negotiation strategies
• Continue taking relevant actions until the objective is achieved
In other words, Agentic AI behaves less like a chatbot and more like an intelligent assistant working alongside you to accomplish a task.
As AI continues to evolve, we’re moving from systems that simply generate answers to systems that can actively help execute work.
The question is no longer what AI can write. It’s what AI can accomplish.
@TracyhansPeter@prycebuddy Exactly. That’s actually the point I was making. We need to do a better job of telling and documenting our stories.
I also took a look at PryceBuddy, and I genuinely love what you’re building. It’s a solution that is badly needed by small and growing fashion businesses. ❤️
Me researching a fashion tech company:
47 tabs open, three founder interviews, one random podcast from 2022, and a LinkedIn post buried somewhere in the depths of the internet. 😭
All because the information I needed wasn’t on the company’s website.
One thing I’ve noticed while researching the fashion tech ecosystem is that many African startups are building interesting products but leaving very little digital footprint behind. Sometimes you can clearly see the innovation, but finding information about the product, traction, partnerships, or even the company’s story feels like detective work.
Documentation matters. Blogs, product updates, case studies, founder insights, and press releases help people understand what you’re building and why it matters.
You never know who’s researching your company. It could be an investor, a potential hire, a partner, a customer, or just a curious researcher like me trying to learn more about the industry.
Good documentation is highly important!
Africa’s fashion industry is evolving fast, and fashion tech startups are quietly powering that shift.
From production to retail to digital infrastructure, innovation is reshaping how fashion is built, sold, and scaled across the continent.
Here are a few startups driving that change.
We really need to talk more about the FashionTech industry.
The gap between the African reality and its European counterparts is wider than many people realize.
There is mad opportunity in that space….
The more I research the FashionTech industry, the more I realize how untapped the ecosystem still is in Nigeria and across Africa.
Globally, the industry was valued at over $200 billion last year, with projections pushing it past the trillion-dollar mark within the next decade.
Yet, in Africa, we’re only scratching the surface of what’s possible.
From sustainability and circular fashion to commerce infrastructure, AI, supply chain innovation, and consumer data, there’s so much room to build.
This space is evolving fast, and I genuinely think we’re still early.
I broke some of my thoughts down in the carousel slides below if you’d like to read through them.
I don't know who needs to hear this, but most things in life are way more achievable than you think. If you decide what you want, and go after it with full effort and intensity, the world will bend to your will far more easily than you might think. You can just do things.
I think I just found my niche. 🤭
….
One thing nobody talks about enough is how hard it is to be good at many things.
It sounds like an advantage until you realize you can easily spend years moving in circles.
Had to have a sit down with myself, cus…😩
