@mr_chrissweet F13 never says who killed them. Also, Claudete was technically killed by Pam. The show doesn't change anything. It adds context to what we saw. Except for the time jump from the 1950's to 1970's.
I've watched the first few episodes of Crystal Lake, and it's pretty fucking awesome. It stays true to the series, builds on it's themes, captures the essence of the characters and becomes a cohesive glue the series has needed.
@mr_chrissweet I don't mean as a direct continuation, which would be seemingly impossible considering the many different iterations of Jason at this point. Instead they boil down all the elements and build a cohesive narrative that blends all those iterations together.
@CineSlamArena It takes all the movies into account and then builds a cohesive narrative utilizing all of those elements. Instead of simply ignoring all movies after Part 2, it attempts to explain how the rest of the movies make sense while still trying to keep the tone of the first two movies.
Every choice feels rooted in the original movies. Crazy Ralph being a veteran with PTSD expands on his character without contradicting it. Pam and Jason are handled insanely well, which is a bit of a thread the needle situation. Tons of ways to fuck it up, few to make it work.
@JeanLucConnery@SawyerMerritt My guess is that the track was magnetized and then it used air obviously to slow it's decent. Flying? No, just a very elaborate and well designed stunt.
I got around to watching Evil Dead: Burn. The movie is a whopping 2 hours long with 30 minutes worth of plot. The violence is extreme but still not enough to explain why this movie is called Evil Dead. If you haven't recently watched Evil Dead Rise, you'll be totally lost.
@fredomcboxhead Without a doubt. Though I've really only liked the original 3 movies and thought Evil Dead 2013 was okay. I didn't like Rise or Burn much at all.
@Terizzle_Dawg You need to mostly remember the very beginning and very end of Rise. It explains the beginning of Burn. Otherwise you'll be waiting for an explanation that never happens.
It's also evident that this movie was heavily influenced by Resident Evil 7 game, but it makes no sense to why that is the case. The characters and setting are at odds with themselves and nothing ever comes together in a coherent way. Long story short, it kinda sucks.
In both Evil Dead Rise/Burn, Deadites are portrayed as demons that possess humans, like in exorcist, rather than a paranormal presence that can possess anything from people to lamps. Both attempt to go straight horror losing the charm of Evil Dead's comedy/horror mix.
@jpalmiotti I just feel like we'll get the exact same outcome. Having said that, I do see the benefit in Democrats at least taking the house. This would add a counter balance. Slight majorities in both houses would be fine also. Enough power to each party to prevent either from succeeding.
@scarykittyyy Due to the extremely high number of straight people compared to other sexualities. If you assume the obvious you'll be right 99% of the time.
