At 6pm today, administration from @uwinnipeg met for the first time with protesters from the People's University for Palestine, the protest encampment that has been occupying the University of Winnipeg's front quad for three weeks.
@uwinnipeg Basra clarified that the University of Winnipeg Foundation is a separate legal entity from the U of W, with its own separate board, CEO, etc, & that the endowment is managed by a separate 3rd-party organization, which is a signatory of the UN Principles of Responsible Investment
