@hadleywickham Experimenting with dbplyr up against an Oracle database. Many of our tables are joined using > and < with start/stop dates. Curious if you've considered adding support for this in the join functions (current solution is joining then filtering but is v inefficient).
“Progressive is just different.” We couldn’t have said it better than #PGRemployee Nicole H., a Pricing #Analyst Manager. See what makes #analytics at @Progressive so unique. https://t.co/OTCeRRuqam

@surveyguy2 Maybe we have it backwards as a field. Maybe we should do research that answers the questions that people, organizations, and consultants have, instead of trying to convince them of the value of the research we conduct,
New Chapter teaming with Catalina Flores. Doverspike, D., Flores, C., & VanderLeest, J. (2019). Lifespan perspectives on personnel selection and recruitment. In B. Baltes, C. Rudolph, & H. Zacher (Eds.), Work across the lifespan. (pp. 343-368). London: Academic Press/Elsevier.
@HoloMarkeD Loving the GoogleLanguageR package. Have had 1 hiccup. My quota is set at 600 calls per minute (determined by IT) and I've been erroring out because my call is exceeding this at times. Have you dealt with this before?
This from @nytimes is the best cartogram of the US I've seen. How we portray the US shapes our political imagination; given the representation disparities of the Senate and Electoral College, more than ever we need to depict the US in units of population rather than land.
@juliasilge Saw your recent blog post on this. Seems like most of the research is around topic modeling rather than n-grams. I’m wondering if these effects would bleed into N-gram type of analysis as well.
@juliasilge Working on text analysis for survey data and have been using your book as a model (thanks!!). Right now I'm filtering stop words and stemming before tokenizing into bigrams and trigrams for analysis. Thoughts on that? Looks like you typically don't in your work.
