The single biggest difference between humans and AI agents is the amount of actions they execute on a computer per unit of time.

AI agents can look and act just like humans, but execute 10,000X more actions per unit time. that's the tell.

so the key to defending cyberspace from AI slop or AI attacks is to target ACTION, not IDENTITY. trying to detect AI is a fool's errand; targeting its BEHAVIOR is the key.

So if you want to deter AI from accessing your website/system, simply make it expensive in computational tokens to ACT on your website. Make every command or button cost a token, and suddenly it's 10,000X more costly for AI to act than a human.

You can't stop AI, but you can make it extraordinarily expensive to use it.

We already know this intuitively, because everybody who has ever run openclaw or their own personal AI agents knows that the single biggest LIMFAC is compute tokens. your AI is only as good as your compute token wallet.

but AI compute is constantly getting cheaper and better, and some countries have far better AI compute than others, creating a major imbalance of power. so the key to long term success is to create some kind of universal, non-sovereign, geopolitically neutral compute token network. that is, we need some kind of network that accounts for a bunch of transferable tokens that are computationally expensive to produce. that no amount of AI compute can produce more of.

we need a proof-of-compute token network. and we need it to be fully decentralized so that no single person or polity can gain permanent or centralized control over it. we need this network to be globally dispersed. and we need to figure out a way to distribute those compute tokens in a way that's fair, that gives no single person or polity an advantage over the others. perhaps in some kind of first-come first-served basis, where the users who provide the computational power are given the tokens and free to spread them out however they want.

if we had this compute token network, the final step to saving ourselves against AI is to simply adopt the habit of making every online action cost some fraction of a compute token, so that it's orders of magnitude more expensive for AI agents to operate online than humans.

the first nation to discover this compute token network and use it to its defensive advantage against the threat of agentic AI will win the 21st century.

The mathematicians complaining about AI in math are, by and large, not the Einsteins, Atiyahs, and Diracs.

They are closer to the modern Fermis, Bethes, Paulis.

Some of us are excited by this!! We don’t want Pauli’s mean girl nastiness.

We don’t care all that much that Bethe can think and compute faster than us. I mean it’s cool. It’s amazing that Fermi doesn’t drop a minus sign over many pages….but it’s not THAT cool.

And Pauli inhibits more innovation than he sharpens the thinking of others.

Every single person above I revere as a researcher. But not as a leader or referee or an elder.

AI is doing a great job of scaring all the right people in math and Physics. All the people who thought “Ya know, things work pretty darn well, more or less.”

I really want to emphasize: math ain’t over. AI is at last pointing what I have been talking about for 40 years: there is a LEADERSHIP *crisis* in Physics… and to a lesser extent mathematics.

It is a giant mistake to listen too much to those howling most loudly. What was bad for Fauci and Collins was good for virology and good for science.

What is bad for many of our leaders in Physics is Essential for Physics. Less true…but still true…for many of our top mathematicians.

AI is great for the leadership crisis. For the first time: everyone outside can see what I have not found any way to communicate. Top people in science also hold back science. That may be confusing. But you are seeing it now.

If you took Accutane as a teenager, this explains everything that's been off since your 20s. The drug they sold to clear up your skin was developed in a c*ncer research lab.

The 6 months you spent on Accutane at 16 is the reason you feel like garbage at 32.

Accutane was not developed by a dermatologist looking for an acne fix. It was developed inside Roche's c*ncer research division. That's right. The "acne drug" they handed teenagers came out of the same lab that builds chemotherapy. You can confirm this in 30 seconds.

Go to ChemoCare dot com, a pharmacist-run chemotherapy reference site that catalogs chemo drugs. Accutane is listed there as a chemotherapy treatment. The skincare industry got handed a c*ncer drug, repackaged it, and started prescribing it to 16-year-olds for pimples.

In 2005, researchers ran a peer-reviewed brain scan study on patients before and after a 4-month Accutane course. The result: a 21% decrease in activity in the orbitofrontal cortex. That's the part of your brain responsible for decision-making, focus, and emotional regulation.

In 1994, twelve years after FDA approval, Roche had an internal document confirming Accutane caused gut damage. They did not update the warning label. Millions of people kept taking it, with zero disclosure, while Roche kept profiting. Then the lawsuits started.

People with completely wrecked guts, IBD, Crohn's, and ulcerative colitis, started tracing it back to Accutane. Roche lost $56 million in just the first 6 IBD lawsuits that went to trial.

In 2009, Roche quietly pulled Accutane off the U.S. market and blamed it on "poor sales." The real reason: they didn't want to keep up with the legal damage.

The toxins Accutane leaves behind don't just dissolve on their own. It permanently disrupts the mitochondria, damages the gut lining, and rewires hormonal pathways. No amount of cold plunging, fasting, or fancy clinic treatments touches damage at that level.

You need a specific detoxification sequence built for pharmaceutical residue at the cellular level. Most people will never figure this out. They'll spend the rest of their life chasing symptoms with the wrong tools. The ones who do figure it out get their whole life back.

I don't usually have time, but this morning listened to one of the twitter spaces from earlier in the week, with some well meaning relative bitcoin newcomers, that humanized them, and their concerns and thoughts for why they thought that made it logical to support 110.

My feeling after listening, is if these are the people with #110 in their handles, I'm sad to see them about to fork off and get disillusioned without understanding why bitcoin rejected 110 robustly.

So here's a more empathetic, constructive higher level version of explaining why not. I hope it's high-level and first-principles enough that everyone can follow.

They seem to want to understand what makes people tick, and are suspicious of intent. So, if someone asked me why is Bitcoin important and what is it, I'd say my (personal) mission and hope for bitcoin is to build the cypherpunk future, that "Snow Crash" was a blueprint, and work backwards from there. Bitcoin I hope leads to fully free markets via bearer unseizable, hard mathematically dependable money. Not everyone is comfortable with that level of freedom, but that's my view. And at this point, I believe that surprisingly, even now many governments have come to understand and value bitcoin's gold-like mathematical assurance, a positive development. Others may have milder views than myself, but still like hard censorship resistant money.

Because of motive suspicion, if it's not obvious: I hate spam with a passion, that's how I came to design hashcash while researching decentralized bearer money with others, and running nodes in privacy related cypherpunk p2p networks nearly three decades ago.

People seem upset about the default op return policy change in bitcoin. I will just assert, there are extremely robust and simple reasons for bitcoin changing default relay policy, and most just didn't do their research, so don't know what those are, or maybe not technical enough to fully understand though there have been 1000s of posts trying to explain in various simplified ways. So that lack of understanding lends itself to shared build-up of false narratives. So here's my back-to-basics higher level explanation.

The decentralization needed to create cypherpunk money has implications a: side effect of decentralization is that you can't impose your views on others. The very decentralization mechanism that helps that, is working against what BIP 110 wants, which at it's most basic is a quest to police other people. I understand supporters don't see their intent like that, but introspect deeper.

You can modify your software, but not anyone else's. Another critical and incredibly robust technical bitcoin immune system is bitcoin can't have people who don't understand technology basics insist on eroding security, decentralization robustness and core properties. That would end badly, fast, and so people will fight you on that.

So the message is Bitcoin respectfully says "no" to what you want. Sorry, and bitcoiners do genuinely understand and empathize that you mean well, have high level thoughts that make emotional sense, and articulate sensible bitcoin-defensive high level ideas, but they are not grounded and without you seeing it, the way you propose to achieve your ideas, hard-conflict with free cypherpunk permissionless money.

My advice is to listen to more experienced people who understand the system and why it works the way it does, to whatever detail you want to understand the grounded reasons for why this is the implication of decentralization and cypherpunk money.

I guarantee you the developer and protocol ecosystem shares and exceeds your views on bearer hard money (and dislike of spam). You may not agree with individual developers choices, views, way of expressing themselves etc, BUT you also need to understand the IETF-like decentralized technical consensus process creates a protective change resistance, that is highly effective at protecting bitcoin mission. The implication of which is no developer can change anything without technical consensus from hundreds of other developers and protocol observers who are pedantic and extremely knowledgeable clever people who won't let any unaddressed technical question past. The protective change resistance is robust and decentralized in an amplifying way because of this technical consensus.

And the many highly technical mainline developers' cypherpunk mission mindsets are probably far more determined than you can even handle on clarity of understanding and views about freedoms on permissionless networks, as many of you are probably still subconsciously inured by the matrix, where they have transcended that, and grew up immersed in it decades ago. They think natively in this space, while you are just grappling with the surface. Many wont have internalized or have the experience to know how this internet physics works, where there is no policeman, no policy authority, just mathematics, free market and hard money. That has implications for your views also, unfortunately.

Now the tough pill, which is unfortunately true: If you won't listen to reason, educate yourself, learn, the same radical freedom applies to you: your permissionless recourse is to club together and create a fork. But bitcoin won't be joining it. (With respect and no sleight intended.)

Please rejoin bitcoin now, or later if you're not convinced and need to experience 110 forking off and fizzling for yourself to start that journey of introspecting and learning. It would be sad if bitcoin lost people disillusioned due to simple lack of understanding of what's going on there, we're all trying to defend bitcoin and keep it on mission. Including btw the 110 technical promoters, just they wandered off plot somehow.
