During Live Aid on July 13 1985, Phil Collins performed “Against All Odds (Take a Look at Me Now)” at Wembley Stadium in London earlier that day, as part of a performance that also featured Sting. After leaving Wembley, Collins was taken by helicopter to Heathrow Airport, where he boarded a British Airways Concorde and flew across the Atlantic to New York. From there he took another helicopter to Philadelphia and arrived in time to perform the same song again at JFK Stadium that evening.

Collins became the only artist to perform at both of Live Aid's two main venues on the same day, making his journey one of the most remarkable feats of the historic charity concert. In Philadelphia he also performed “In the Air Tonight,” played drums for Eric Clapton and and played drums for the surviving members of Led Zeppelin during their much-anticipated reunion.
