@HumzaYousaf Yes everything your saying is correct, Islam should have been the main religion, but I think Christianity built on Spanish colonialism of South America and the period of fine art, sculpture and architecture and became one of the main religions.
@LozzaFox I was looking at the attendance figures at mosques, a large number of mosques have closed in Iran, in the tens of thousands, 18% attend mosques in Turkey, attendances are down in Iraq, Morocco and Tunisia. Secularism seems to be on rise.
@Mick_O_Keeffe Ireland's population is approximately 5.15 million, 12% non Irish primary Indian, British and Polish. The population is primarily White Irish (77%), with other significant groups including those of other white backgrounds (10%) and Black or Black Irish African (over 1%).
@LozzaFox Yes there has been a surge in young people attending church, particularly catholic. The Islamic faith has been in decline, with mosques closing in Iran.
