Devmalya Pramanik. I draw comics. Marvel. Worked with Image, DC,Vault, BOOM!, Titan and more! OA and commission inquiries @comixartconnect. Opinions are my own.
@TheWarblazer Currently at about 80% of every cover since MacKay took over in 2021 😤
Mainly hunting down some remaining retailer exclusives and a few incentives.
Now I do own all the singular issues for Mackay, Pramanik and Rosenberg's era of Fist of Khonshu and now Marc Spector... but I would like to see the trades too next to the other Moon Knight stuff on my shelf, so I might have to double dip
My favorite look is always his original costume, the all white spoke to me man he looked ethereal. And my fav artists for Moonie are Devmalya Pramanik and Greg Smallwood!!
The addendum to this is: don’t take 3d models to be a substitute for your voice as an artist. Ride the fine line of external knowledge vs your own voice as an artist.
My main point is: do not let someone else make you feel ashamed for wanting to learn.
I see a lot of young artists, and to them I want to say:
Never listen to people like this. Keep doing your work, and if that means you learning by tracing over 3d models, keep doing that. If you always keep in mind that the goal is to keep learning, you will keep improving.
@ZachBowders Hah I don’t love all of them myself. Part of me itches to go back and redesign some, and then I remember the purpose of this exercise and realise doing that would defeat the purpose :P
Inspiration comes in all shapes and sizes. In this case, enjoy some art from those who’ve found inspiration in Soup-Man
I’m excited to see how Soup-Man, inspires the rest of you!
Very nice to see Spider-Man following in Moon Knight’s footsteps and going to seek help from a kickass Sorcerer living in the Sanctum Sanctorum to fight an enemy he is struggling with.
@luiseatscomics Luis, why are you acting like people are gonna listen to your rational and well learnt takes born out of experience and knowledge of the subject matter?
