𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝟭 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝘆 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗔𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 @AnalyticSages .

Before I started the class, I used blockchain every day as a user but have very little knowledge of how blockchain data actually works behind the scenes. This week gave me a solid foundation, and I thought to share some of my key takeaways.

One of the first concepts I learned was 𝙃𝘼𝙎𝙃𝙄𝙉𝙂 . The easiest way I can explain is that 𝙃𝘼𝙎𝙃𝙄𝙉𝙂 creates a unique digital fingerprint for data.This fingerprint helps ensure that information stored on a blockchain remains secure and tamper-proof.

I also learnt about 𝗛𝗔𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗔𝗟𝗚𝗢𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗛𝗠. These are mathematical methods that takes data and convert it into a unique coded value called a 𝙃𝘼𝙎𝙃. Example of an hash is 9e5c8f1a7d4b2c3f6e8a9b0d1f2e3c4a5b6d7e8f9a0b1c2d3e4f5a6b7c8d9e0. A tiny change in the original data creates a completely different hash. Another lesson that stood out to me was how blockchain data is stored. They are all stored in bits and bytes.
•→ A bit is the smallest unit of digital data (0 or 1).
•→ A byte is made up of 8 bits
Simply put: 1 Byte = 8 Bits.

One thing my instructor emphasized is that the job of a 𝘽𝙡𝙤𝙘𝙠𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙞𝙣 𝘿𝙖𝙩𝙖 𝘼𝙣𝙖𝙡𝙮𝙨𝙩 is not just to look at 𝘽𝙡𝙤𝙘𝙠𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙞𝙣 𝘿𝙖𝙩𝙖,
the real job is to read the data, understand it, and extract meaningful insights from it. That perspective changed how I think about analytics.

Week 1 was all about building the right foundation. There's still a lot to learn, but I'm excited for the journey ahead and eager to uncover the stories hidden in blockchain data, one query at a time.

Last year in September, in my quest to explore the future of the internet, I got accepted into the Women in DeFi Skill Up class @womenindefi_org to learn Advanced DeFi Research & Methodology. That experience completely changed the way I see Web3 and research in general.
Before the program, I honestly didn’t understand how deep DeFi research could get.

The training opened my eyes to the amount of patience, curiosity, and persistence needed to become a good DeFi researcher. Sometimes you spend hours digging before finding one useful insight.

During the training, we explored research tools like @CryptoRank_io
@DefiLiama @coingecko
@CoinMarketCap . We also learned how to evaluate projects using different indicators to identify whether a project has strong fundamentals or possible red flags. One of the most unexpected parts of the training for me was degen trading and memecoins 😂.

I never saw myself as someone who would even try trading, but the sessions were so engaging that I became curious enough to test the waters. My first trade was honestly unforgettable, I turned $3 into $40 within a short time and felt like a genius for a moment 😭…but I lost everything almost immediately because I didn’t have a proper exit strategy. That experience taught me an important lesson about risk management and emotional discipline.

We were also introduced to wallet tracking, blockchain explorers, and the basics of onchain analysis.
That was the turning point for me.
The more I learned about analyzing onchain activity, the more interested I became. While trying to learn onchain analysis more deeply, I came across @AnalyticSages .

A few weeks ago, I officially started my training in Blockchain Data Analysis, and it has been both challenging and exciting so far.

From writing SQL queries on @Dune https://t.co/mKxjyHfLri to understanding blockchain data structures, every day feels like learning a new language 😅
It hasn’t been easy, but I genuinely enjoy the process.

I’m still very early in this journey, but I’m excited about the possibilities ahead.
