I made "Nothing pizza with left beef" earrings for one of my friends for her birthday tomorrow and put them in a box I decorated to look like a pizza box. Too extra, or not enough?
Also, I’ve been crocheting for nearly a year. I’ve been running and weight training. I’ve been a work nomad with no set schedule, but lots of good energy. I’m assistant directing a youth theatre program. I’ve been cast in another show. I feel the best I’ve felt in years.

Three words: tax the rich.
Because people can’t afford rent or groceries.
Rent is now unaffordable for 50% of renters.
2023 saw homelessness rise 12% to a record level.
Things are hard out here for the average person. And Democrats claiming the economy is “booming” only serves to sound out of touch.
And also, it's just so cool and special. Like I would not feel this safe to have any sort of friendship with any of my other exes. And even if I tried, 2 of those exes ended up joining cults 💀💀
This is my first time being friends with an ex and it's so strange and chaotic in the best way. Like last night, she called me late to see if I wanted to hang out so she could rant about the bad date she'd just went on and laugh together about it. Honestly, I dig this dynamic.
As friends, we communicate way more easily. We laugh more. We feel safer to tell each other stuff. We don't have the pressures of trying to fit the boxes together of people who want very different things out of relationships. We just root for one another in a different way now.
A sad realization I had recently is that even though I'm making more than I've made at any other job, it's had the least amount of magnitude because of the current economy.
