With mixed emotions, I get to announce that I will be make a career move to USDA APHIS PPQ here in Raleigh starting March 1. And, though I won’t be working for NC State, I’ll still be working with several of the amazing faculty through cooperative agreements on joint projects.
Our SCRI funded #FindMe RKN nematode project is almost a wrap for 2020. There's definitely some hot spots on this field, and potential treatment differences! Looking forward to comparing notes with #TeamTode !! @LinaQuesadaO @AdrienneGorny #SoybeanRKN#KillTheTodes
Can't beat this morning view! Harvesting tobacco for our foliar fungicide trial at @ Oxford Tobacco Research Station. Look forward to seeing how the data shakes out! @yara_rosado@sarah_m_cochran
SDS doesn't always cause us problems in NC, but when it does it can be alarming. Delayed planting isn't the answer, and there are several options to manage disease losses without sacrificing yield in full season beans
Lots of SDS showing up due to early/on-time planting in WI. Lots of talk of delaying planting next year to reduce symptoms. The research doesn't support that. Delaying planting will cost you as much or more in yield than SDS in most cases: https://t.co/kwG0gwa7Sa @badgerbean
Rating Meloidogyne enterolobii damages in our cotton and soy research plots. Hopefully some of these treatments lessen damages in field crops and rotational veggies! #FindMe#TeamTode#KillBadTodes

We're seeing lots of reports of different diseases in tobacco this season, and likely due to the continued wet weather. See https://t.co/bqnzx3t0RA for more info and links to resources
We’re seeing a lot of bleaching from applications of the herbicide clomazone (Command 3ME and others). This is not at all uncommon when the transplanting season is cool and/or damp. Fortunately, plants will outgrow… https://t.co/kwdRBLV3pm
Our 6th TSWV and Thrips Flight Timing report is now available. Third generation flights have begun at some of our locations, and given the slow start to our growing season, growers may also want to think about management strategies for the 4th generation. https://t.co/v0Cfe46m6X
As growers across North Carolina begin soybean #plant2020 , replant questions will soon follow. A few considerations on soybean replanting in NC. @NCExtension@CropAndSoil@ncsoybeans https://t.co/MhCOG2Uk4x
We've got seedling disease on the brain! If you're planting soybeans (or other crops!) in this cool, wet weather, be on the lookout seedling disease symptoms.
