Haiti is more than its trials. It’s a nation of creative youth & engaged diaspora, with a culture that shines far beyond its borders.
I'm convinced with adequate international support the people of Haiti will be able to free themselves from gang violence, reclaim their security & institutions & their future.
The @UN & I will be by their side until then.
When it says put God in remembrance of His promises, it’s not because God has forgotten what He said. It’s not for His sake; it’s for our sake. You’ll know that God being for you is more than the world being against you.
Play looks different everywhere, but its impact is universal. It helps children learn, build confidence, make friends and simply enjoy being children.
Whether it's a jump rope, a board game, a swing set or a handmade toy boat, playing is an important part of childhood.

The moment you start living for Christ, you gain an enemy.
"Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour." — 1 Peter 5:8
The Christian life isn't a playground. It's a battleground.

This is a remarkable verse about what God requires of those who are His.
“He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?” (Micah 6:8)
The Bible will challenge, correct, and even rebuke us.
· The Bible challenges us, as Paul does in his letter to the Ephesians, to walk worthy of our calling.
· The Bible also corrects us, as Paul did when he asked the church in Galatia how they could be so foolish as to go back to the law when they were set free by the Holy Spirit of truth.
· And the Bible also rebukes when Jesus tells the church in Laodicea to repent of its lukewarmness before judgment arrives.
And this is what this verse before us does. It does all three. It does triple duty.
“To do” is an act. It’s not something we merely think about or talk about; it is something we are to do. To do justly means doing what is morally right or fair. This is not merely something we talk about; it goes beyond words. It is committing to do what is morally right and fair in every circumstance, even when it is not popular.
This verse is also a call to an active faith lived out in what we do, namely, living humbly and in connection with God and others. Again, it is in what we do, not just in what we say. It is a faith that is active and alive.
And finally, it is to love God as God has loved us, and then to love others in the same way. It’s known as the Great Commandment. You see, all three of these qualities hold together as one through our love for God and for one another.
The Lord requires us to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with our God, because we represent Him to a world that is lost and dying. It is through this that people will see God working in and through us, which may stir their desire to know more and to come into the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
May the mercy and grace of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, be with you this day. Thank you for posting. Take care and God bless.
