When reality meets student politics fantasy.
@Record_Politics Given that the spend freely on many other irrelevant measures, the only conclusion that can be drawn from this is that there is something to hide. Those with functioning brain cells already know that Swinney & Co are complicit.
@Daily_Record To all SNP supporters - what will it take to rid you of your gullibility? The serial liar @JohnSwinney stated that he was "not conscious" of shutting down attempts to find out what was going on. Massively different from stating that it didn't happen.
@afneil@MerrynSW She got a new haircut, new outfit, spoke in joined up sentences, pinched Salmond's quizzical head tilt and was anti-brexit. That's all it took for all the London nepo-baby journos to declare her a superstar. In truth she failed in health, education and mistook spite for gravitas.

I can't breathe.' When those chilling words were uttered by George Floyd in 2020, they provoked global outrage. The combination of the horrific manner of Floyd's choking by the police officer Derek Chauvin, the pressure cooker of lockdown and the historical tensions around American race relations led to worldwide protests; despite Floyd's death being 4,000 miles away in Minnesota, Keir Starmer felt compelled to take the knee in solidarity.
'I can't breathe.' These were also the dying words of Henry Nowak, an 18-year-old student in Southampton murdered by the 23-year-old Vickrum Digwa.
Nowak was coming back from a night out when he was stabbed by Digwa five times with a ceremonial knife. When the police were called, Digwa accused Nowak of having been racist.
As he was cuffed, Nowak implored the officers that he had been stabbed, only to be told: 'I don't think you have been, mate.' The officers realised their mistake far too late.

I wonder how many readers have ever heard of the name Kriss Donald?
The young Glaswegian was just 15 years old in 2004 when he was kidnapped by a local gang of Pakistani men. The group selected him because he was white and they had some beef with a group of white men with whom Donald had no connection at all.
After driving around for hours, the gang – led by one Imran Shahid – stabbed Donald repeatedly before dousing his body in petrol and setting him alight.
I also wonder how many readers have heard of the name Tony Timpa? The white, unarmed Texan was 32 in 2016 when he suffered some sort of mental breakdown in public.
Instead of assisting him, police arrived at the scene and restrained him in such a way that he died. Bodycam footage released three years later – thanks to pressure from local journalists – showed officers kneeling on Timpa as he complained that he couldn't breathe and mocking him as he lay dying.

Friedrich Hayek once argued that if you put the word 'social' in front of a noun, the meaning was negated. Social justice wasn't about due process; social democracies didn't safeguard freedom.
For those on the left, who can never have enough social-isms, there is a more toxic prefix. If you want to damn something, stick a 'neo' in front.
Nothing is quite as wicked as a neoconservative, but coming dangerously close is a neoliberal. Liberals were once generally supposed to be the squishiest of centrists. But listen to the men and women making the weather in British politics now, and you'd imagine that neoliberals were the horsemen of the apocalypse.
Andy Burnham has blamed '40 years of neoliberalism' for the problems faced by workers in Makerfield, and indeed beyond. The banking crisis, low growth, youth unemployment, decaying high streets: it was neoliberalism wot dunnit.

@Daily_Record Not any more. You lied to your members. You have admitted lying to your members. Let's hope your members reward you accordingly. Seems like the moral high ground from which SNP ministers preached has just crumbled. More now see what many of us have seen for a long time!
