Supporting parents is essential and proactive not reactive work. Especially if in parenting crisis - we have to fully support parents. It's insane not to realise this.
11/11 WHAT ARE THE NVR PILLARS?
Siblings - can get forgotten or lost in everything that is going on. We need to make sure they are protected but also that we spend equal time with them.

10/11 WHAT ARE THE NVR PILLARS?
Campaign of concern. we make every effort to make sure we can find our teens - friends/their parents phone numbers, hang out spots, go and sit in the car nearby if we have to - anything to keep them safe and let them know we are serious and care.
8&9/11 WHAT ARE THE NVR PILLARS?
These 2 pillars are so helpful. They are a beautiful empathetic but firm and structured way to deal with troubling issues. They take the impossible out of the situation and focus on possible.

7/11 WHAT ARE THE NVR PILLARS?
De-escalation is hard, it can go against our natural instincts. Once we learn how to de-escalte, things calm down so much quicker than before. Then we can deal with the issue when the iron is cold.

5/11 WHAT ARE THE NVR PILLARS?
Baskets! So helpful! If we have to many things we are trying to sort all at once we wont get far. Pick the important, leave the rest then whn the important is sorted focus on the next thing. Children respond better to this too. #parenting
Love this and couldn't agree more!! Before fostering, charity and parenting I was a actor and vocal coach and I MD this gorgeous choir. If you are part of Adopt London let me know and come join us ππΆ
The Adopt London Choir is a lifeline for many of its members. The songs they practice are uplifting for the whole family. The choir provides a fun activity that the children can join in.The children take comfort in the fact that everyone on the screen has adopted, or is adopted.
