Firefighters are currently responding to a home that caught on fire in the fire zone in Bastrop. This fire has burned 100 acres and is 50% contained. There are still hot spots popping up though as there is a slight breeze. Stick with @KXAN_News for an update at 5pm

Crews are dumping water. The fire is near Hwy 71 and Harmon Road. We can see the blaze inching closer to homes. @KVUE

Livestock on the property across from us are being evacuated as this fire in Bastrop continues. There are literally thousands of grasshoppers flying out of the woods across the street. @KXAN_News
