August is off to a wonderful start!
In Lagos & London, our churches gathered around the Word, were strengthened in prayer, and rejoiced together in the fellowship of the saints.
We are so grateful and full of expectation for all God will do this month.
This Sunday and every other Sunday this month, we are being stirred up to pray!
To birth victories through prayer.
London 🇬🇧 12:15pm. The Wilds, Northgate Road, Barking Riverside, Barking, Essex IG11 OAN
Lagos 🇳🇬 9:00am. 30B Opebi Road, Opebi, Lagos, 100281, Lagos, Nigeria.
Church is delightful for the right reasons.
1. We gather to worship Christ together in songs, prayers, and mutual edification.
2. We receive God’s Word, reminding us of what God has done for us in Christ, who we are in Him, what we have in Him, where we now stand, and the work He has entrusted to us.
3. Church reorients us. In a world obsessed with money, success, and status, we are reminded that we live for something far greater; the message and mission of Christ.
4. Every activity in the gathering is designed to lead us into being filled with the Spirit.
5. We enjoy fellowship with like-minded saints. The warm greetings, smiles, hugs, etc are a vital part of church.
As you attend church today, let your heart be fixed on what the gathering is for. Church is delightful for the right reasons.
You don’t dictate the curriculum. You come with meekness, ready to receive what God has ordained for you through the ministry of His Word today.

The New Testament teaches and demonstrates that all should speak in tongues and all should prophesy. It even goes further to say “we can all take turns to prophesy”, showing the lavish nature of the outpouring of the Spirit, so much so that the believer can take initiative of it.
“Heaven is not, so to speak, “the place miles up there where God lives.” God desires to live in the heaven-and-earth combined reality. That is to be his home.
When the text speaks of the creator “resting” on the seventh day, this doesn’t mean simply that he stopped working, or took time off. It means that he came to “be at home” in this bipartite world he made.” - @ntwrightonline
We must pray, we are God’s temple, we are a house of prayer. We are His royal priesthood, we must pray. Our calling as believers is to preach and the pray, this is our non-negotiable vocation, to resist it is to resist your identity.
“The proof of enlightenment in the faith is ministry. When the hope of your calling becomes clear to you, reaching the lost and serving the saints ceases to be a burden and becomes a duty and a privilege.” @TolulopeAyeni
We are 8! Thank you Jesus💚
8 years of impact, sound teaching, transformed lives, and a thriving community.
We are grateful for the vision, the leadership, and every person who calls this community home.
Happy 8th Anniversary to us!🎉
"The right place to be this morning or afternoon (depending on your local church timing) is church. The bible doesn't speak well of faith that doesn't prioritise the assembling together of saints, in fact it speaks of such faith as vulnerable to shipwreck." ~ @TolulopeAyeni
I would strongly suggest Pastors avoid outright official endorsement of politicians as “God’s choice”. You are not Samuel and this is not Bible Israel.
The early church met daily to be taught, to pray, to break bread and to receive new members. They weren’t unemployed and idling about, they were doing kingdom. Thank you Sir!
When folks speak of believers hiding in church buildings instead of doing “kingdom” in the market place. It is a gross overestimation of how much time the modern Nigerian believer actually spends in church, especially in urban cities like Lagos. For most churches, we are actually not meeting enough to be trained for the real work of kingdom we have to do.
The terrible economic realities combined with terrible transportation and security problems means most churches can’t meet as often as they should.
We need more teaching meetings, more prayer meetings, more Holy Ghost meetings, more evangelistic outreaches, that’s the actual work of kingdom- to go into all the world and make disciples, teaching them what Jesus taught.
Amen!
Yes Sir!
“We, however, will not boast beyond measure, but within the limits of the sphere which God appointed us—a sphere which especially includes you.”
II Corinthians 10:13 NKJV
The believer’s primary sphere of influence is not merely a share in the famed “seven mountains” — commerce, education, media, government, etc.
By all means, be a force for good wherever you are; that is simple wisdom.
But biblically, your sphere influence is measured in the people you disciple in the knowledge of Christ.
Church is first and foremost a training institution- not in commerce, leadership, etc. church is a bible school, a training institution in the knowledge of God.
