பொதுவாக ஒரு அதிகாரி அல்லது அரசியல் பிரமுகர் ஓர் இடத்திற்கு ஆய்வுக்குச் சென்றால், அங்குள்ள பிரதான ‘தலைமை நாற்காலியில்’ போய் அமர்வதையே கௌரவமாகக் கருதுவார்கள். "நான்தான் பாஸ், உன்னைக் கேள்வி கேட்க வந்திருக்கிறேன்" என்ற அதிகாரத் தொனியை, வார்த்தைகளால் சொல்வதை விட அந்த நாற்காலியில் அமர்வதன் மூலமே சத்தமில்லாமல் உணர்த்திவிடுவார்கள். இது காலம் காலமாகத் தொடரும் ஒரு அதிகார வர்க்க மனோபாவம்.

ஆனால் தலைமை மருத்துவரின் இருக்கையில் அமராமல், அவருக்கு எதிரே இருக்கும் மக்கள் இருக்கையில் அமர்ந்து முதல்வர் ஆய்வு செய்த விதம் சாதாரணமானதல்ல. அது ஒரு அரசியல் புரட்சி!

இதற்கு முன்பு எந்த முதல்வரும் இதைச் செய்ததில்லை என்றே நினைக்கிறேன். எம்.ஜி.ஆர் இப்படித்தான் எளிமையாக இருப்பார் எனப் படித்திருக்கிறேன்.

அப்படிப் பார்த்தால் கடந்த ஐம்பது ஆண்டு கால அரசியலில் இது ஒரு வரலாற்றுப் படம், அரசு நிர்வாகம் எப்படி இணக்கமாக செயல்பட வேண்டும் என பிற அதிகாரிகள், அமைச்சர்கள், நிர்வாகிகள் என அனைவருக்கும் ஒரு பாடமும் கூட.
