i like being loved.
there i said it. i like being seen, fully. i like being soft and vulnerable and strong and thoughtful and courageous and silky and open and breakable. i like being felt and understood and all of the things they tell us this world does not want us to be.
as a hip-hop fan, i am disappointed in the outcome of this whole situation but let me say something.
first of all, Kendrick barely said anything to Cole on that record. Cole has always showed love to Kendrick, always been a fan, and always learned from him. WE are the ones who wanted a diss and he did it for the fans. he opened up about the hard times he had in the past and Cole said making that track put him back in that dark place he worked so hard to escape all those years ago.
he never wanted beef, he never wanted to diss, but he did it for us (he did it, regardless of if you liked it or not). but i really don’t understand all this slander towards him for not wanting to do something he has no reason to or be a person he isn’t
Cole wants to respect someone he looks up to rather than tear him down when be doesn’t want to n im learning to respect that.
shit yeah its unexpected and probably not the best look for him but he’s protecting his peace, i dont see a problem with that. i know this isn’t the energy hip-hop is used to and it’s gonna take time to understand it but damn yall have been doing way too much on the tl
I’m intrigued by people’s inability to enjoy something for themselves without it needing to hold some comparative value or perceived exclusivity over the people who cant also enjoy it.
This is not a war. This is a genocide.
Post about Palestine like your life depends on it, because their lives depends on it.
Don't stop talking about Gaza. Push for a permanent ceasefire.
