@Leanne_fff@STVNews We don’t mind paying for repairs that are caused by wear and tear and just regular usage but none of what we have had to deal with is normal usage its just lack of respect and not caring about what the break as they know they can get away with it.
@Leanne_fff@STVNews Dealing with is a faulty tap, or leaky radiator or a condensation fan in the bathroom, or damp or maybe a leak or just normal household wear and tear but what we have had to deal with isn’t and it’s unfair that we can’t get anything back from the damages that
@Leanne_fff@STVNews Of course we are responsible of repairs but punch marks in doors and bathroom cladding, smashing a shower, damaging a door, ripping off draw fronts and smashing windows is not the normal repairs that we should have to put up with, repairs that we should be
@Leanne_fff@STVNews Just have to put this down to a loss of money and damages if it doesn’t add up to £10,000 then we don’t even get that back so everything we have to pay for and make right when it’s them that’s done it. Tenants have more rights than anyone, it’s ridiculous.
@Leanne_fff@STVNews And also before someone says can you not just claim the rent back and the damages. No we can’t, we’ve had a solicitor and because no one can find her including the police, we then don’t have an address to get in touch with to then sort rent out that is outstanding so we
@Leanne_fff@STVNews Does this mean that the mortgage on the house that these tenants are living is also going to get frozen? Because how do they expect people to pay that when the rent is suppose to be covering it?
@Leanne_fff@STVNews With outstanding rent from the 4 months before she left. We have dints in doors, cracks in cladding, damaged outside doors, smashed windows, left all there dirty belongings in the house that we then have to pay to get rid of. It’s not fair.
@Leanne_fff@STVNews They aren’t making profit they are just covering the mortgage that the tenants are in. My family have rented houses for twenty years and it’s just getting worse. There’s no right for landlords, it’s all about the tenants. We have had a tenant leave and left
@Leanne_fff@STVNews I’m sorry but I have to agree, as someone who’s mum rents out houses this could be the worst thing ever. Have you ever thought that people who rent use that money to pay for the mortgage that’s already on that house. This is what most people are doing.
@LivDavidson_ Do you have a range near you chick? If you do you can pre order one and put a deposit on it and it doesn’t take long for it to come in. That’s what we did lovely xx
