🌿 The Stone and Flower: A Tale of Two Gardens

A special exhibition bringing together Suzhou’s Lion Grove Garden and @thebutchartgardens in British Columbia, Canada, is running at the Lion Grove Garden from Oct 27 to Nov 15.

One is celebrated for its stunning Taihu Lake rocks and labyrinthine rockeries, and the other for a century-old legacy of horticultural artistry. Discover how two gardens, worlds apart, tell a shared story through stones and flowers.

Suzhou is joining the Wuyue heritage relay with a landmark that leans into history — literally. Meet Yunyan Temple Pagoda on Tiger Hill.

Built during the final decades of the Wuyue Kingdom (907-978), this seven-story brick pagoda has an octagonal plan and details inspired by timber architecture. Its slender silhouette shares a distinctive architectural character with Hangzhou's Baochu Pagoda.

Once an important economic center on Wuyue's northern frontier, Suzhou keeps this piece of the kingdom's history on its skyline.
