@DangitShaun@50centcake Egyptid is actually something similar to Arabian Veddoid + Libyid. It's one of the types that used to mistakenly lumped into a bunch of categories from CM to Berberid
It's kinda funny because this should be completely intuitive but a lot of people reject it immediately. Look at how Caucasoid this Hawiye here is, but if you genetically tested him he'd probably just cluster with other Somalis
@Phillip05166897 It's possible to find these due to the fact that in mixed-race people the population isn't simply a point average of the two sources but you can have a mosaic of different features within which you can rarely find people who have all of the features of one of the two sources
Well, Otte would be wrong about the Aurignacian deriving from Baradostian either way given how late the Baradostian is. So either as Belfer-Cohen & Goring-Morris suggest it has nothing to do with the Aurignacian, or there is an Aurignacian proper influx onto an Ahmarian base.
@JoachimHeli Interestingly Sümer et al 2025 indeed found that the common eurasian neanderthal introgression happened over an extended period of 7ky. They got the exact moment wrong however (their range is impossibly too recent at times when the east-west split would've happened for k years)

I've heard some people refer to Bacho Kiro as Proto-Aurignacian but I don't think it's commonly considered as such. Usually Proto-Aurignacian is seen as an UP industry with datings of ~41-39kya
@thmque Aurignacian derives from bohunician/bacho kirian which are considered proto aurignacian
Aurignacin is a mix of bacho kirian/proto aurignacian and incoming ahmarians from the east(wec).
Aurignacians work well on qpadm as bacho kiro+kotias_up(ahmarian proxy)

@Tatsuya9JP Found a map from a study that put Karain/Öküzini as Epigravettian during the Mesolithic. We have a WHG site at Karaburun Peninsula west of Izmir at the time now as well
@Tatsuya9JP Ghasidian 2019 finds no support for a division into an Early and Late Baradostian in any site except Warwasi. That would indicate against any genuine Aurignacian influence
