@Northernzeth@WelLdoOnEe How exactly did you make the switch?
Did you also change your strategy/execution model, or mostly just the market?
Because NQ feels completely different for me compared to FX in terms of structure, sessions and delivery.
Curious what translated well for you and what didn’t.
@WelLdoOnEe It’s depressing hearing even profitable traders say EUR price action has been trash lately and they can’t hit their usual performance. Some even switched to NQ.
As someone still trying to become profitable, it really makes me question whether I’m the problem or the current market
@WelLdoOnEe@WelLdoOnEe
Quick question out of curiosity — what do you actually do for income?
Do you have a regular job, passive income streams (like real estate), or something else?
@WelLdoOnEe@WelLdoOnEe
How did you define the HTF trend here? Because a major target was recently reached, which means multiple market profiles could potentially occur.
What made you expect a reversal instead of Monday’s high holding and the HTF simply retracing before continuing the trend
@WelLdoOnEe Why did you expect the current daily low to hold and the London session to move up directly, instead of London making a deeper retrace down first and then going up?
@realweirdgene At the same time, I know I can’t keep doing the same thing and expect different results — so I am open to trying something new.
I’m 18 and don’t have much capital yet, so I need to think carefully before investing in anything...
@realweirdgene My question mainly comes from the fact that every trader struggles with different bottlenecks. I’m currently stuck and can’t clearly identify mine. I’m just unsure whether something like that is best solved within a Discord environment.
@WelLdoOnEe experience, what’s usually the most effective way to bridge this gap between correct HTF bias and consistent LTF execution? Would you focus on refining the LTF rules, simplifying execution, or something else entirely?
Thanks a lot for your time — I’d really value your insight🤗
@WelLdoOnEe My higher-timeframe bias is usually solid. I can clearly identify where HTF liquidity sits and I often see price reacting exactly where I want. The problem starts when I drop to the lower timeframes to execute. That’s where I get stuck.
Either my LTF bias ends up being wrong, 👇🏽
@WelLdoOnEe maybe I’m filtering too much, or focusing on the wrong confirmation?
For context: I’m currently down about 5%. I’ve been trading this strategy for around 6 months, but the last 3–4 months were the first ones where I followed it seriously and consistently.
From your 👇🏽
@WelLdoOnEe or I miss the move completely even though the HTF idea plays out.
I don’t think overtrading or emotions are the issue. I average around 10 trades per month and feel fairly disciplined and emotionally stable.
This makes me wonder whether the real issue is my LTF rule set — 👇🏽
@realweirdgene Was it stupid to wait for the news and only then enter? Because of that I collected a stop loss and not a BE on this Trade?
But before the news, it was a bit too risky for me, although the divergence was already there?
Did I act correctly or not?
@FlouzManager@realweirdgene I also had a SL on this one. I went slightly later in then GENE and then I could not manage it like that, that I get a BE...
Because to get on this Setup a BE, You would have had to be in the trade before the news, which was a bit too risky for me...
@realweirdgene Why did you go long there? A lot of trendline liquidity had formed at the bottom? And the bounce upwards came from the trendline = retail traders are looking for longs = stop losses are below the trendline lows???
While I also do see higher timeframe liquidity on the buy side...
@carlstrug @vuk_16@realweirdgene That means he had more losses this week and he didn't share them here on X? But did he share them in the discord?
So you're not happy with his Discord server?
