@BetseyStevenson Wonderful that you have the best outcome in mind. But in the process you are making our economy less free. So no another thing that was left up to the parties to negotiate can be regulated and overseen by the government. The government is not there to limit freedom to contract.
@KeithOlbermann Well that’s slightly silly any multibillionaire or multimillionaire for that matter should never have that much liquid capital, sitting around doing nothing. You will have to liquidate assets. I’m sure his wealth makes him Asset rich and cash poor. That’s the best way to be!
As I've been warning #inflation as measured by the #CPI has bottomed and is now heading higher. Consumer prices rose .6% in Aug, 3.7% YoY, up from a low of 3% in June. Core prices rose .3% on the month, and 4.3% YoY. Consumer price gains will me much greater in 2024 than in 2023.
@VP The common sense gun laws you can choose from are pretty scarce though since you have to only select from laws that existed or were similar from the founding period. (1791-1836)
Abortion is not a right, affirmative action is not a right, civil rights are only rights as they may fall under certain definitions of the 14th amendment. Next Biden and his cronies are going to insinuate that voting is a right. All of these things are privileges. Stop being dumb
@POTUS Sir. You probably will not read this but know this. Neither you nor the republicans in congress can prevent the catastrophic outcomes that will come with all this bread and circus spending that our government has been doing since the 1950’s. You think your in control. You aren’t
@_shibbywibby@PeterSchiff@biden Peter hasn’t responded to you yet so I won’t put words in his mouth. 90% of the time Peter makes valid points and so I figure he would agree with your assessment of trump too. Cuz while the proof isn’t there for Trump, all politicians are crooked. So, point taken.
GOP debt limit strategy is flirting with default, top House Democrat says @CNBC They act so concerned for Average American people. Well perhaps we need to suffer this pain to learn our lessons. Don’t trust congress to not spend. https://t.co/rWrKOLXqHZ
The media is reluctant to call what's happening with #banks a financial crisis, as they don't want to invite comparisons to 2008. But the 2008 #FinancialCrisis was also a #BankingCrisis. Not only is the current crisis a sequel to 2008, but like all sequels it will be much worse!
The Federalist society never was a proponent of Democracy as a more perfect political system. A Republic is what our founders started and they warned us of devolving into Democracy. In fact there is no founder who was supportive of Democracy. They openly criticized it.
The 2008 financial crisis was mitigated by a strong U.S. dollar. The 2023 financial crisis will be aggravated by a weak dollar. The stong dollar allowed the #Fed to get away with QE. This time a weak dollar means both #inflation and long-term interest rates will go much higher.
