Very positive meeting with Major General Richard Clements, Director of Army Basing and Infrastructure. Discussed the potential for large-scale #rewilding of selected #Army land to help achieve their target of net zero by 2050 whilst restoring biodiversity in an affordable way.
@PyrionFlax https://t.co/V5esrREAns More Central France but in Burgundy they are building a castle from scratch using medieval methods only. It’s called Guédelon Castle. Definitely worth a day out if you’re in the area.
@Joominmames D&D is a dungeon crawling Rogue-Like (Conan) that can also be a storytelling game (Lord of the Rings) dependant on what your table wants.
As with all of these things it’s about balance, shades of grey, and what feels good at the table. So yeah, don’t worry about it, go play.
Few want to admit this but these are the same thing just in different mediums and for different generations
And they both have caused massive, irreversible damage to the hobby that nobody ever intended
@Joominmames Maybe that is lazy or bad, but good Lord knows I’ve only so many hours in the day, and only some many games I can run. I want to enjoy them, and naff dice rolls that dont enable a good game for all at the table doesn’t see me enjoying my time best.
@Joominmames Dragonlance started as a campaign that turned into a great series of books.
Some argue that letting the narrative take over removes the point of the dice and game. That narratives made, twisted, or broken by chance dice roll, lead to bettermore interesting storytelling.
From @Joominmames thread, I’m focusing on what I see to be the core area it discusses.
Namely what is more important, the narrative or the fall of the dice?
One of the nicest things of getting out the the holidays for me (I have to find something), is getting back onto a routine with good cook.
A chicken #ramen bowl. Easy to make, super tasty, and even better out of your cat themed ramen bowl
What’s everyone else #cooking?
