@Liz_Wheeler No the onus is on the one making the claim. In your example the jewelers would have to present inventory reports, insurance claims and reports. Just claiming robery is not going to pass muster.
@DisgracedProp Many cases based on circumstantial evidence can turn on where its speculation or inference, which is a confusing and complex concept for most people.
@DisgracedProp A very democrat leaning city in a very democrat leaning state, is no surprise for the outcome. The questions that need to be asked is 1. Have local demographics shift that much
2. Are independents swayed this dramatically
3. Is there other reasons the votes fell this way.
@empirical_Tea@mitchellvii Actually what should be looked at is demographic changes in those areas. Recent events in downtown LA, have likely caused changes in the demographics, or altered voter participation rates.
@StonKold@drterrysimpson It does, as mail-in votes get tabulated and added to existing tallies from the various districts it can look like a candidate all of a sudden falls behind or fails to gain any ground... its why results should just be announced once all counting is complete and verified.
@C_3C_3 Then how mail in voting is handled makes it worse, as these get added to results after the fact which can make it look like candidates shift backwards in the polls. It really should just be announced once all counting is finished and verified.
@DerrickEvans4WV Its not fraud, sadly its stupidity, slow counting and trying to get results out before voting is finished. And as it turns out those points on each side of the bell curve happen.
@JoelJff223b@EricLDaugh With no mail in ballots, the disabled, military and citizens living and working abroad all become disenfranchised. That's not acceptable.
@StonKold@drterrysimpson Sadly assigning malevolent intent to incompetence is where this goes wrong. Instead of an imperfect system. The first votes counted are early votes and early mail in votes( these are usually people invested in voting) then they tabulate votes as they come in.
@GuntherEagleman Attempt to remove him now, could have consequences, there are enough bitter republican senators that could vote in Schumer, or Warren just to take their ball and go home. Sometimes the devil you know is the better option.
@ClownWorld Which means more volunteers, and let's be honest volunteering has dropped dramatically in the US. There are cities with over 10,000 voters and maybe 8 people counting. Then states with rules no counting before closing of polls is another cause of dumps of votes.
@ClownWorld In most other countries they have many more election and polling officials funded by the government, additionally other countries have smaller populations then California or Texas. We also have more recount processes. We want faster counting we need more counters and reviewers.
