I think the trans community can also become a collectivist community, similar to the strong social solidarity that exists among Jews. I know that the trans community is not a religious community and that being trans is a gender identity, but at a time when transphobia is seriously increasing and the oppression of trans individuals is growing every day, I think trans individuals do not have the luxury of individualism.

What do I mean by a collectivist community? I think trans individuals should act as a single community, regardless of their ethnic backgrounds. Trans individuals should support other trans individuals living around them. For example, if a trans individual needs HRT, people who have access to HRT can help them. If a trans individual needs money, other trans individuals can donate whatever amount they can. If a trans individual moves to a safer country and needs a place to live, trans individuals in that country can help them find a trans-friendly home or even share a home with them.

I think this kind of collectivist system could be very beneficial for the trans community. Although Jewish communities have faced discrimination and persecution for centuries, they have helped people in difficult situations get back on their feet by maintaining strong mutual support systems. These people have eventually been able to help other community members in need as well.

I think the trans community can do something similar if we put aside meaningless internal debates and learn to truly stand together.
