Received email from Elections Director at 4:49pm about an emergency election day polling place relocation will be presented to BRE board tomorrow. they will be relocating the Istanbul Cultural Center locations to Alpharetta Library, Wills Park Rec Center, or Cambridge HS
We have a lot of battles in Fulton County Elections. I am happy to suggest alternative locations to the Elections Board. Alpharetta library can’t handle two additional precincts in addition to the 3 that they have right now. These precincts are in the Manning Oaks Elementary area.
@semperfifemale I am a whistleblower in the 2020 election as a precinct manager and technician. I testified in the Senate hearing. I was fired for doing so by Fulton Elections. I am a huge advocate for Election Integrity.
It is not necessarily Muslim. Fulton uses many churches and synagogues. They have over 200 Election Day locations. With that being said, I understand that people still maybe uncomfortable with their voting location. Therefore, Fulton offers 19 days of early voting at 31 early voting locations.
@semperfifemale Please show me your research and I will reach out to the Director. As elected officials, we need to be informed and not simply jump to conclusions.
@semperfifemale@potterylover I will tell you! You didn’t ask. Fulton Board is Registration and Elections made the decision. I tried calling you. Left a message but you only respond to text. Alpharetta library is a location for 3 precincts on Election Day but too small for more.
@potterylover@semperfifemale Fulton County Board of Tegistrations and Elections. GOP only has one member Julie Adams. We have a lot of work to do with our elections and this is not one of them.
@semperfifemale That is unfortunate. We use lots of churches and synagogues on Election Day. Fulton is trying not to use elementary schools because parents have a safety concern (plus we have damaged some gym floors with our equipment).
We have 19 days of early voting in 30+ locations.
@semperfifemale I sent you the correct map. But you are ignoring the truth. You are confusing the cultural center with the mosque. They are two different entities run by different owners.
It is NOT A MOSQUE!!! Please correct yourself. 591 N. Main St. #100, Alpharetta. It is a Community Center that holds dinners, classes, etc.
They have no affiliation with CAIR.
I went by today to visit them. I actually had just left a small Rich McCormick/ Jim Jordan lunch and so did the Director of this facility.
@semperfifemale Alpharetta is also voting in lots of churches. Should we not allow that?
Fulton County Elections is trying to move out of schools. Their equipment was damaging wood floors and there are safety concerns. One of these Election Day precincts ML06 used to be at Manning Oaks.
@BrandonStraka 2018 was the first year. 2020 was the first Presidential Election. You will notice how prior to 2018, Poll Watchers were praised. Then in 2018, the media immediately started demonizing them.
It was so great to hear from Mayor Gilvin at the Alpharetta State of the City event yesterday! Great conversations about our region’s growth, opportunities, and how we can continue working together to support a thriving business environment across Fulton County.
According to our Fulton County Attorney, only County Employees were allowed in the building. If I had driven the hour down there, I would have been allowed in. Commissioners were kept @100 ft away from the Clerk’s warehouse portion of the facility. (Although, I believe Commissioners would like you to believe they were right there.) The County Attorney rushed down there to make sure we were complying and no one was trying to obstruct.
There was an instance where BRE Chair Allen was allowed to come near to ask Nadine a question.
Time and time again Fulton County has eroded confidence in the security and integrity of Georgia’s elections. We remain committed to protecting every vote in Georgia and are closely monitoring this developing situation.
