GARDENS!
This was the Patreon theme in April 2019, just before I could start putting in my garden.

I Garden. My mother gardens. My grandmother gardened. Canning was a family affair when I was a kid. Now it's more of a couples night.

I can still remember the 1st story of my Aunt Family: Eva had recently inherited her aunt's home was clearing out the magical items, junk, doodads & talismans of her aunt's accumulated life. She held back some for herself, including a very ominous deck of divination cards.

but it's also about family & outsiders; pressure to conform & what happens when you don't; gender roles; and the ways you can use your power for good or ill.

All this in a setting that spends half its time in the kitchen & the other in the attic.

I love writing little disasters as well as big ones, scientific solutions as well as magical.

Rebuilding the World

Yay Favorite Trope!

I'm always disappointed in movies that leave the spaceships crashed into the major cities and so on - where's the rebuild!?

I'm a post-apoc sort of girl, so any~

[Lyn Thorne-Alder 🍂 @ThorneWrites]

sort of story about reforming civilization pleases me. I've written about people who planned for apocalypses & people who just scraped by; I've written about vastly different priorities in disasters and afterwards.

I love The Postman (the book)~~

~bringing back MAIL.I love Mad Max & Fury Road - people thriving in adversity. I love space-colony stories-people making a whole new life - MZ Bradley's Darkover Landfall; Remnant Population by Elizabeth Moon.

Some days it really feels like the whole world is conspiring against you. Life never seams to be fair but I guess that’s what makes life so special. Cherish every moment, don’t let any opportunity pass you by because one day you’ll wake up and regret where all the time has gone.

[Lyn Thorne-Alder 🍂 @ThorneWrites]

Bonus!

For today only, if any tweet of mine with the hashtag #GreatNanoWrimoPromptCall is RT'd 100 or more times,

I will draw 5 people from the RT's pool who can then prompt for a 500-750-word fic for free!

Today is my #GreatNanoWrimoPromptCall -a-thon!

This is, as you may have guessed, my #NanoWriMo 2019 project.

I am #writing to the #prompts of my #Patreon Patrons and anyone who tips me on paypal or #KoFi — the theme(s) for the prompt call are the last year of Patreon themes.

[Lyn Thorne-Alder 🍂 @ThorneWrites]

(These are in the form of Captain's & Explorers' logs)

AND if you ask a question or pose an action the logs could reflect, I will post a #microfic in answer.

You may get written into the universe so feel free to create a TootplanetFic persona😉
