Staff were back in school today for a great INSET training session with Will Ord from Thinking Education.

We are thrilled to share the fantastic results from our ISI inspection. 
Thorngrove was found to have met the standard in all areas which is the highest grade possible under the new framework. We are also incredibly proud to have been awarded a rare ‘significant strength’!

Chosen by the children this is a wonderful local charity offering support for disabled children and their families. We are looking forward to working with them again this year to raise lots of money!

Our Year 3 and 4 girls went to @BradfieldCol for a cricket coaching session on Friday. They focussed on movement and fielding skills but also used the nets to hone their batting technique and finished with a game of Diamond Cricket - a favourite! Thank you @BradfieldCol 🏏

Today our teaching staff took part in an inset day workshop with Paul Main from Structural Learning.

They focused on a metacognitive approach to promote critical thinking and inclusivity through design, allowing children to think more deeply and engage in their learning.

Years 3 & 4 transported us to the magical world of the Jungle Book for their Spring production!
Audiences were treated to the most fantastic show with wonderful performances from the whole cast. The pupils were truly amazing! 🤩

Today our runners competed in the District Cross Country with great results!
Year 3/4 girls overall 1st place 
Tinx - 1st place in her age group
Year 5/6 girls overall 3rd place
Alice - 3rd place in her age group 
Finally we were the overall winning school in the Hampshire Cup👏🏼
