Even with TSLA becoming defacto charging standard where will we see revenue realized on that? I'm all for the mission of speeding up WW EV adoption but I do want to see shareholder value creation.
I'll believe FSD is where it needs to be when TSLA gets open interest from other OEMs to license. Till then it remains to be seen how this translates to $ in the pockets of us shareholders. Long-term investor horizon here so not really sweating it.
As a long-time $TSLA bull, I sincerely hope 2024 is the year FSD finally gets to 99.9% intervention-free. We all see the incredible progress FSD 12.3.x has made over v11, but it won’t change fund managers’ $TSLA valuations if it’s just supervised FSD. $TSLA at $175 is the S&P 500’s worst performer YTD, despite FSD’s amazing progress.
As Craig Trudell of Bloomberg has noted, based on Elon’s track record, investors aren’t ruling out the possibility that “the boy who cried FSD,” as Elon dubbed himself last year, is overstating the feature’s ability now just as he has every year that it’s been on the market. I’m not agreeing with Craig; just pointing out the obvious skepticism in the market.

@_jeff_irons@greggertruck@ItsKimJava I'm up to monitor it. Though the level of saltwater submersion versus bad winter road conditions is orders of magnitudes severity from one another
@SawyerMerritt hope community notes jumps on this. gerber has told me personally he tweets things that benefit his positions so i’m guessing he’s shorting $tsla
@sentrystars@ray4tesla Would agree here. Look at the ramp up that Tesla has had there with it's own factory. Companies like, Apple past, now Tesla pave the way for Chinese industry. Foreign companies move on to the next lower cost region to repeat the bring up while China keeps the know-how benefit
Rivian charges $16,000 for a max pack with 410 miles of range. That brings the price to $89,000
For Cybertruck, you can spend $88,490 after point of sale credit for the optional range extender and get 470 miles of range. Plus part of the pack is removable, which is valuable.
