“Hurry up and date” the way Rikako consistently represents the voice of the audience in this show lol. Contrary to what she may think of herself, I don’t think she was ever a bad person nor needed to feel bad about how she initially felt towards Nishi or anyone else at school.

Rikako was just brutally honest to a fault and that caused some people to be rubbed the wrong way because a lot of people can’t handle the truth, but Nishi can. Isn’t that funny? The girl you’d think is the weakest of the bunch is actually the strongest because she can take criticism and wants someone to be brutally honest with her so she can grow! Nishi accepted Rikako and gave her a place to belong finally because she appreciated Honda for who she is. They are my fave polar opposites friendship in the show and are soulmates 🥹

It’s also thanks to Rikako being brutally honest that we got Nishi to finally admit that she wants to be with Yamada, so it’s a win win for everyone! Also FYI, the people that won’t be honest with you because they’re afraid to hurt your feelings are not your real friends. Your real friend will tell you what you NEED to hear, not what you want to hear. Everyone needs a Rikako.
