it’s a mild annoyance but the idea that cat’s hatred for jon is due to bastardphobia is so 😭like no she just hates herself and what ned did. which also ends up into translating into hating herself

catelyn’s resentment for jon is definitely a projection of self loathing and her reaction to ned’s “infidelity.” she feels as if she’s failed in her role as a noblewoman in both cases by not providing ned with “sufficient” sons and thinking she was the cause of bran’s near death
