@ShantelSherwood I spent too much time at hospitals w loved ones. Most don’t realize how little “advanced medicine” can do for us at times and how much feels like guess work or just hoping for the best, going from dr to dr hoping for answers. My ❤️ aches for your family. Strength & love to you.
Time for an update on the Bragg Creek Logging Plans...
We can't believe it's been a full 6 months since the WFTC Open house but we finally have the "What We Heard" Report and our take on their response.
First off Thank YOU for showing up. We've already had an impact!

Huge shoutout to the incredible workers who stood up and fought back today! CUPE 3550’s strength and determination are inspiring. You proved workers won’t be silenced. This is solidarity in action 💪 #RespectWorkersAB#Solidarity#ABLabour

“Public schools must provide education to all students. In contrast, private schools select students based on tuition affordability and other criteria like a student’s ability.”

Support staff provide vital services in our schools for our students.
The UCP throwing pennies at folks who are already deeply undervalued while giving billions to billionaires and sitting on a surplus is quite sickening.

Thanks to a cancellation, kiddo finally got in for a sleep study. It’s been 2 years since the referral was sent. Results in (up to) 6 weeks. Hoping we finally get some answers! But also…2 years!? And it took years of advocating to get referred in the first place.
BEYOND BRICKS AND MORTAR
A well-resourced public school system is essential to ensuring that no student is left behind, that exceptional students can achieve their full potential, and that all students thrive in environments that promote inclusivity, equity, and academic excellence. Investment in public schools through optimal class sizes, enhanced support for teachers, and expanded access to specialized programs and resources, will provide the learning pathways needed to meet the unique needs of Alberta's growing and diverse student population.

@demetriosnAB Can we please get a comprehensive plan instead of random throwing of money that doesn’t address a myriad of issues? Education didn’t just break last year, there has been a lot of opportunities to come up with something better. And remember public funds are for public schools!
New episode!
We sit down with @holdmyhandab for a conversation on how Alberta is failing disabled kids while funneling money to private and charter schools that most of those kids can't access.
