@RevolutionandIR@saruman_desage@belladonnafeli Could be, but at the same time I feel that the "established lore" is often trying to tell us that the Targaryens aren't as exceptional as they try to make themselves seem. They were able to die of sickness (unlike Jaehaerys suggested) and often pretty crazy (from inbreeding)
@RevolutionandIR@belladonnafeli I mean, it's also very much possible that a regular person can ride a dragon, they just lacked the opportunities to do so. I think Nettles is a good way of implying this. It would also sort of match up thematically with the Targaryen's general delusions about their superiority
@rhaenyrism Fair, I undoubtedly wish they could just copy and paste everything from the books visuals wise... Would be sooo sick (esp game of thrones which was so bland compared to the books where it's just a feast of different colours and flamboyant outfits and armour)
@rhaenyrism With all due respect, those insane (and beautiful) walls are probably pretty hard to replicate, I feel like dragonstone is already pretty sick, especially the throne there as well as the painted table.
@FPLMaineRoad Idk, even as a city fan I disagree. They played well, they looked super in control of the game. Had two shots hit the crossbar as well. Pretty much just unlucky to win by as fine of a margin as they did.
@BooYaKaSha20@JuriRs3@iMiaSanMia I would of course choose football given the insane wages, but imo you can't deny the schedules nowadays for them are tough, which is demonstrated by the fact that there's been a sharp rise in short and long term injuries recently. FIFA only cares for the viewer count, not players
@bearssegi I think (and hope) it's a bit different this time. A shit ton will happen in S3, simply has to, given how slow S2 was. A lot of people will die. I feel like that could explain those faces
@reddrakonmo@belladonnafeli Could you explain a bit? I'm not denying it, but I just genuinely don't know what aspects of his writing of female characters demonstrates misogyny, and am curious to know
@alexlockin@FabrizioRomano@ViaplayFotboll If you consistently don't play well, you don't start. It's as simple as that. Why should goals that he scored in the past give him the starting spot when he's not playing well now?
@Charleemanderz@AltSchwiftX I remember this got mentioned on some food ranking stream, and i think they said they would, but with a slightly more minor character like Stannis so that it wonβt be such a huge project again
@purebredpleb@oldbooksguy And yes, the Targs did bring some semblance of peace to the realm, but they were just too unstable and fiery, and fumbled their dragons (and thus a lot of their power), but they also allowed FIVE Blackfyre rebellions to happen, and Aerys caused Roberts Rebellion.
@purebredpleb@oldbooksguy I literally read all the ASOIAF books lol. Yea, we don't know for sure how it happened, but a source in TWOIAF suggests its because the warring of the Valyrian factions caused the death of the fire mages who controlled the volcanoes, which I personally find very believable
