@TJPruett2310 I don't think there's anything wrong with that cue as long as what it actually means is mutually defined by the coach and player. The video you attached is not an example of flying open. He was lined up and getting Z-axis through release. He rotated left after the ball was gone.

@ArmCarecom I have quite a bit of experience at the same levels as you and muscle fatigue and imbalances definitely lead to flawed mechanics. If your point is to fix the root flaw, then I agree. The external cue of "fix your mechanic" is not beneficial. But, the goal of health still remains.
