Great night @ the FAB Awards! Congratulations to Hazel Vowell for winning Cross Country Female Athlete of the Year Award and to Moni Anjous for being nominated for Volleyball Athlete of the Year! Proud of these young ladies and all the Athlete of the Year nominees! @THS_Tigers

Congratulations to all the girls and boys who competed at the Area meet yesterday. Hazel Vowell is the 21 6 A Area Champion in the 1600 meter run and placed 4th in the 800 with a new school record of 2:19.57. She will be moving on to Regionals.

We had some personal best jumps recorded at the meet as well. Neriah Akinyede in both the long and triple jumps, Munachimso Okeya in the triple jump, and Jaren Foster in the long jump.

We had more personal best times recorded at Shelia Lofton Relays by several athletes. Josh Vilmael with a personal best time in the 100 meter dash, Malcolm Graham, posted a personal best in the 200 meter dash along with Ndubuisi Oguegbu. Great job to all!

Congratulations to freshman, Hazel Vowell, for breaking the school record in the 800 meters. Hazel recorded a time of 2:19.58 and a 2nd place finish @ the Shelia Liston Relays yesterday. She also placed 4th in the 1600 meter run as well.

The Girls Cross Country Team is headed to Regionals! Let’s Get it! Strong performances by Hazel Vowel who finished 1st, Madison Stirman who finished 5th, Avery Bowman who finished 10th, and Micaiah Duty and Anisa Allen with great finishes.

Hazel Vowel finished 1st with a new personal best time of 18:19. Madison Stirman finished 7th & Avery Bowman finished 11th with a new personal best time as well. Also, Abdul Abdulkhalik ran his personal best of the season while also earning a medal.

Way to go Travis Cross Country! The girls and boys teams finished the regular season strong @ the Trojan Tune Up. The team will be competing at the FBISD district meet on Thursday.

Hazel Vowell had another great performance by finishing 5th today @ the Larry Gnatzig XC meet. She not only improved her time but shaved almost 1 minute off her personal best time. Keep working hard!

Moving on to Regionals are Josiah Vilmael in the 200 with a new school record. The 4 x 100 relay that also set a new school record with Josiah, David Brewer, Mohammed Shaik, and Jaden Williams. Samirah Guinn qualified in the 100 hurdles & Madison Stirman in the 800 & new record

Congratulations to our regional qualifiers who will be competing at Challenger Stadium this week. Arianna Harris & Tadarian Smith placed 2nd in the discus while Danielle Bejar placed 2nd in the shot put.
