NSRC successfully convened its first NEC meeting. The first day of the meeting was marked by an address from VC @LenkaBula who shared valuable insights and reaffirmed the university's commitment to working collaboratively with the NSRC to advance the interests of students.

Watch Prof Puleng @LenkaBula speaking to Namibia Connects after the University of Namibia (UNAM) and the University of South Africa (UNISA) signed an MoU to explore a formal collaborative agreement aimed at promoting mutual understanding through academic, cultural, and educational exchange. Prof LenkaBula emphasized that African universities have a moral and ethical obligation to collaborate, stating, "It is through universities that we shape individuals who will produce products, processes, intellectual property, and educated citizens capable of making constructive decisions."

Unisa VC Prof Puleng @LenkaBula and the Dean of Students, Dr Olwethu @osipuka attended today's SRC National Executive Committee meeting. The VC urged the SRC to succeed in their studies, to be attentive to the national, continental and global challenges and opportunities that affect or impact the development of knowledge, and to consider South Africa and Africa's contribution to the world. She also informed the SRC of the efforts that the University and the Management are undertaking to advance excellence, success and positive global impact of Unisa’s Academic and scientific agenda toward “Shaping Futures in the service of Humanity".

Congratulations Unisa, 150 years and Beyond!

Today, 26 June, marks Unisa's 151st year as the cradle of knowledge in Africa, providing quality affordable distance e-Learning to the world.  We've spent the last year taking every opportunity we can to celebrate the first 150 years of Unisa's existence, and these festivities will be concluded this week.

As we look beyond the 150 years, we welcome the Unisa of the future that is multi-dimensional, mutli-disciplinary, and multi-generational; continuing to meet the growing academic needs of an ever-changing continent, and poised to usher in the next 150 years of innovative learning to the world.
