"The total foreign-born population declined 2.9 million from January 2025 to July 2026... The huge recent decline in the foreign-born population indicates that net migration to the United States was negative in the last year and a half for the first time since the 1930s."

If the Trump Administration’s immigration crackdown continues at its current pace, the United States will see a reduction of approximately 15.3 million in its foreign-born population by the end of President Trump’s second term in January 2029 -- the lowest national foreign-born population since 2010.

My options:

-Continue telling the truth to an ever-dwindling number of people capable of rational thought, and accept my fate as a member of the permanent underclass.

-Invent a (totally false) conspiracy theory to sell my followers one drip at a time for months on end, and retire early. Create generational wealth.

And if you think I’m even slightly exaggerating, you truly have no idea what’s really going on here. You need to know that these are the same options EVERY content creator in this space has right now in 2026.

As the masses get dumber and dumber, more and more will be forced to make this choice too. I’ve long since made peace with doing the right thing and failing anyway, but I promise you most haven’t. The allure of success and the easy life blinds them to the guilt and shame they should feel for how they got there.

Why take a risk prices will go down (people habituate to eating more pork) next year and breed more cows, when you can lock in today's high prices and slaughter more rather than breed more?

Trump inherited the smallest beef-cow herd since 1961. You cannot rebuild 30 million breeding animals in six months. You keep ranchers profitable, open grazing land, protect them from drought and losses, expand American processing, encourage them to retain heifers, all of which the Trump USDA is doing —and while those cows reproduce, you temporarily supplement hamburger supply. What exactly is the alternative? Tell Americans to pay $9 a pound for hamburger for three years while we wait for calves to grow up?
