The digital only shit that Sony's doing is only happening because there isn't any viable competition on the market. Steam Machine dropped the ball so fucking hard and home computing is the most unaffordable its ever been with no end in sight for price hikes.
Game's fine. I'm excited to sink my teeth into the overworld now that we're free from the more linear Midgar section of the story. I'm still not convinced that this wouldn't have been better off as a straightforward remake, but I want to see where it goes. Crisis Core next.
It's been a little while, but since when did they annihilate the usefulness of any of the comeback mechanics? Meanwhile, the blade remains unchanged and horrifically overpowered.
I feel like it's just a bit of worldbuilding for Kalos. Similar to Team Rocket, Team Flare embedded itself into high positions of power and influence which let them do their thing basically unopposed.
The fact they had a member of Team Flare be an Elite Four member and it goes absolutely nowhere…… XY really are half of a good game that never got finished.

There probably is a market for the Steam Machine, but it has to be miniscule at that price. Added compatibility with older software and emulation aren't a good enough selling point when it struggles to play modern titles on release. It'll only get worse as the years go by.
I feel like adding compatibility with external GPUs would help the Steam Machine. With no way to upgrade, it's a hard sale over investing in your own build.
A lot shorter than I expected, but it carries itself pretty well. The loop of exploring the open ocean, discovering islands and gathering resources to build up your little raft was fun. It's also very buggy, I phased through the floor in the final dungeon. Co-op was great.
Star Fox plays great! Mouse mode wasn't all that good, though. First time I've ever touched the mouse mode on the Switch 2 and the controller is too small to feel comfortable for my big ass hands.
