I am over the moon to announce that the research I did during my MRes has now finally been published after 4-6 years of hard work and dedication! Thank you very much to all of my co-authors and also to Journal of Intelligence for making this a possibility!! 🥳
A new publication with @esmfilho and colleagues!!🚨We looked at the effects of silent practice and music distraction on #PERFORMANCE in the #CONCENTRATION_GRID. Please go give it a read. https://t.co/onwZu72vGV
I am feeling accomplished! I've finally reached a milestone for my PhD. I've collected data from 60 participants for my first experimental study! Yay!! At long last. Now I can celebrate the small wins! 🎉🎊🥳✨
ADHD (Neurodivergent) brains are different, and they should be celebrated for their strengths and positive qualities, not shamed for what they may need support for!
There are three different types of ADHD: Hyperactive, Inattentive and Combined. The hyperactive presentation of ADHD may look like the stereotypical little boy bouncing off the walls who can't stop fidgeting or talking excessively. The inattentive type presents very differently.
This is what having inattentive ADHD is like, which can make it impossible to concentrate on what is required, even the things that you enjoy doing in your spare time. The combined type is a mixture of hyperactive and inattentive types.
Hi everyone,
I am looking for participants for my PhD research. This will be my first study. I am looking for people of the general population aged 18-35 with no visual impairments and corrected-to-normal vision.
The study will involve comparing two different viewing methods (2D screen and VR headset), measuring autistic and ADHD traits in the general population, flow states, and aesthetic appraisals of visual illusions.
