Valve has apparently gone all-in on the Rat King joke in Deadlock.
The new hero has 1,534 recorded voice lines, and 126 of them are specifically tied to his Rat Swarm ability.
Instead of just say the same attack line repeatedly, Rat King actually calls out individual rats by name as he throws them at enemies.
Valve’s latest City Never Sleeps update doubled the voice-line count for existing heroes and added more than 10,000 non-ping voice lines overall.
It’s a ridiculous amount of detail for a character whose main gimmick is basically “I have rats. Here, have some rats.”
