The 2024 James Island Connector Run will take place this Saturday, October 26th, from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m. Please be advised that the entire James Island Connector will be closed for the duration of the event.

These routes will remain open to help commuters travel between downtown, West Ashley, and James Island.

The town of Seabrook Island is reporting that multiple tree limbs and debris are on Bohicket Rd and Betsy Kerrison blocking parts of both lanes. They have reports that Seabrook Island Road is underwater from the marina entrance to Seafields.
We have been notified that at approximately 8:20 am on Sunday, September 15, there is a broken down truck blocking traffic in the Freshfields roundabout.

The Town has officially lifted its State of Emergency for Seabrook Island as of 10 AM. Town Hall reopened at 10 AM and will resume normal business hours tomorrow.
All SIPOA facilites and the gate are open.
The Club plan to reopen all facilities tomorrow.
A large tree has fallen across the road in the 3300 block of Bohicket Road. It is larger than Fire units can handle. SC DOT has been notified.

ALERT: Mayor Cogswell has issued a city-wide curfew for 11:00 PM. Thoroughfares leading into the peninsula will be closed from 11:00 PM until noon. NWS is predicting 10-12 inches of rainfall beginning at midnight. CPD will begin preemptively closing roads at 8:00 PM tonight.

Gov McMaster has declared a state of emergency for TS Debby. Potentially historic rainfall amounts of 10-20 inches could bring widespread flooding and storm surge to the area this week. Be prepared. Stay home and off roadways during the storm.
We received notification that Bohicket Road is backed from about Ace Hardware to Edenvale Road. It appears to be some sort of road/tree work. Traffic is allowed to pass on an alternating basis, but it can take some time to get through.
According to SJFD July 17 at 3:30 Bohicket Road is closed at Cottage Plantation (near River Rd) due to a vehicle collision. Power pole and power lines are involved which will cause a significant delay for the road to open.
There is a downed tree at Betsy Kerrison Parkway and S.O.B. Drive. One lane is open both on inbound and outbound sides. The DOT is on-site to remove the broken tree limbs and will work through the night. Crews will complete cleanup on Monday morning around 9 am. Expect delays.
As of 4:50 am Saturday, July 6, Main Road is closed to traffic from Berkeley Electric to the Dollar Store. Plan an alternate route or check Waze for more up-to-date information.
We received notification this morning from St. JohnsWater Company that there is a water main break at the Haulover Creek Roundabout. Haulover Creek is next to Andell Bridge in Charleston County. The Freshfields and Cassique areas will not have water today starting at 9:00 am.
