My best friend of fifteen years unblocked me at 2am and sent one text.
"Your mom passed? Why didn't anyone tell me."
I stared at my phone for ten minutes before I could type anything back.
Me: "We haven't spoken in three years, Sam. Why would I tell you?"
Sam: "Because I would've been there. Blocked or not."
Me: "You blocked me first."
Sam: "I know. I've regretted it for two of those three years."
I hadn't cried about my mom in front of anyone in six months. I cried reading that text.
@SlestTV Oh Slest. The updates aren't attention seeking. You have a community that cares for you and that's what the updates are for. Attention seeking is only if you're using your platform in a way to gain benefits.
Miss you and glad you're getting all you need! Please keep updating ❤️
@FintwitExpert @SketchyArtist05 What are you talking about? Hetronormative associations are shoved down our throats everywhere. Tell me how many times a day you see intimate relations between a man and woman in tv, ads, etc.
No stream tonight as ‘The Eagles’ are in town. That being said, I’m thinking about doing 2 streams tomorrow! A morning, and an evening stream!
Morning Stream: Apex/Val
Night Stream: Among Us/Community Games
Giveaways are going down as well! See you in there tomorrow 👊🏼😎
@JenSookfongLee I feel you! This would be the worst type of cleanup to do. So many people would need to be involved to cleanup and fix everything, something they already had to do once before. At the same time, the venue is a rental, they have nothing to do with the concert organizers.
@keusermaifa @PNE_Playland Indeed. I'm in the F&B dept. We set up and stock all those stands destroyed. Every fridge, every counter, all the slush machines the knocked over will need to be picked up, moved, fixed, and re-setup. All need to be done this week as there are multiple events happening this week.
I can't believe the videos tonight at @PNE_Playland. One of my jobs is setting up all the food and drink stands there, and to see it all torn down knowing who is going to have to clean it up breaks my heart. Get angry at the organizers, not the venue.
@imane 99% invisible. It's a popular podcast but still very good. It's about the thought that goes into the things we don’t think about — the unnoticed architecture and design that shape our world.
