Tigers had an amazing time at Jimmy's farm yesterday! We saw polar bears, brown bears, an iguana, a crocodile, pigs, butterflies, and many more animals. We discussed what habitat these animals live in, their diet, what they need to survive, and their life cycles!

Today, Tigers class celebrated world book day by discussing and exploring different types of books, listening to stories from a mystery reader and the year 6 library monitors, created our own book gift cards, listened to an audio book and played some spelling games! Lots of fun!

This week in science, we have been learning how humans can impact the environment. We discussed what makes a positive and negative impact. We created bird feeders to positively impact our environment.

To promote communication and oracy skills, we are having a no pen day!
Tigers have been using British sign language, created drama performances using our class story and created 3D shapes with sticks and straws! This afternoon the fun will continue with bulb planting and more!

Good morning, from today Tigers class will be taking home their reading books. We have been reading these books during our reading lesson this week and the aim is to continue this at home, to promote fluency. There are also some questions at the end of the books to use! Thanks.

Tigers class are having an amazing first day back. We shared what we did in the school holidays, discussed emotions and how to be safe happy learners. We even have practiced our new ‘show me five’ stop signal! Well done Tigers, we’re ready for an afternoon of fun with Meerkats.

We had a lovely visit to the allotment last week, learning about different plants. We even picked some different fruits and saw an empty hornets nest! A huge thankyou to Pat for providing this experience for our children.

Now the children, parents & staff know, Mrs Robbie can announce her new adventure from September. I will be leading a new ASSET alternative provision 'Flourish', which will support children with social, emotional and mental health needs. 2 more weeks with my amazing Tigers first!

We had an exciting opportunity this morning to visit the fire engine that was here for our Year 6 careers morning. We learnt about fire safety and having a working smoke alarm at school and at home.
