Congratulations to @BoeingAirplanes and
Ethiopian Airlines @flyethiopian on signing a significant deal for six 787 Dreamliners! This agreement, reached as part of the United States’ Finance Roadshow, showcases American commercial strength and builds on the historic relationship between these two companies – reflecting our strong bilateral ties. We are excited that Boeing planes will be flying in and out of Ethiopia’s beautiful Bishoftu International Airport in the future!
They killed us, they massacred our people, they ethnically cleansed our entire population from one-third of our territories, they raped and gang-raped more than a quarter of a million of our women, they destroyed our infrastructure and economy, they attacked our artifacts and historical legacy, they besieged us for two years and denied us basic humanitarian aid from donors; and yet they are trying to tell us who did what and to what extent, excluding themselves.
We will use their words as evidences but not their verdict on one another.
Ethiopian government, Eritrean government, and the Amhara forces led by the regional government are perpetrators of Tigray Genocide.
This is a fact. Accountability will be what we will fight throughout our lifetimes and beyond, for generations to come.
We welcomed a delegation of Irish archbishops and Irish humanitarian organizations as well as Irish government representatives in Mekelle today. The Tigray Catholic Church organized the event to express gratitude to the people and government of Ireland for their unwavering support for the people of Tigray. Also in attendance were members of the Menbere Salama Synod and representatives of civil society in Tigray. We have expressed our heartfelt gratitude to the people & government of Ireland for their principled position in advocating the cause of the people of Tigray.
Thank you @TASSCintl for bringing a brave group of #Tigrayan torture survivors to tell their stories.
What Tigrayans have endured since 2020 is a genocide - and it is not over. With 600k dead & Tigrayans facing mass detention & systemic sexual violence, we must end this crisis.
