@dwolf_010 I did watch the interview. She’s a second hand source in a conversation about expanding and widening Warcrafts marketability. That’s what I have issue with. The clip in question is just a culmination of that mindset.
You think you’re better than the shoulders you stand on. If you were as talented as you celebrate yourself to be, you wouldn’t be working for a world someone else created.
I hate this shit so much.
@DeadStarLegacy Last time I bought gold was from a Chinese farmer back in BC to get epic flying. The only boosts I’ve ever bought came with upgraded versions of the game I purchased because I’m a fan of the IP.
@QuantomOracle I don’t want to be the old man yelling at clouds.
But I’m tired of “mass appeal” of IPs I loved from my childhood. Not everything has to be so corporately sanitized that it can’t offend anyone for anything.
It’s the Corporate HR training version of Video Games.
@BribableMango She’s parroting, second hand mind you, what Chris said in a conversation surrounding widening the appeal of Warcraft as an IP to more people.
In that context, yes, I would agree with Chris. If that’s your goal. That goal has nothing to do with what’s best for long time fans.
@dwolf_010 If you’re going to sit here and tell me Chris has full autonomy to do and say as he wishes, and to lead the Warcraft IP as he originally intended without the intrusion of growing its player numbers, then I have a bridge to sell you.
I'm still absolutely tilted over what Holly Longdale said today.
Absolutely disgusting to spit on the very ground you were charged to curate. I may have to come out of retirement on this one.
@Drakesrevenge88 At the end of the day, the game must stand in its own.
If the first thing you’re telling me is about the business model of the game, and not the gameplay, that’s a red flag.
We all want pro consumer products, but the deciding factor will always be the product.
@CaptainCabinetz That even dives into a deeper level of gamification psychology.
One takes advantage of the eternal optimist, the other the eternal pessimist. Does hope spring eternal, or do you plan for that rainy day?
Regardless, we have a game for you.
@ShotgunShogun1 I have a different perspective. I see her as a blank slate. Her entire gimmick is super fast stuns, as the game evolved that become more of a detriment then a boon. So they can move on from “super fast omega stunner” to an actual useful gimmick.
Hopefully… maybe. Probably not
@ShotgunShogun1 I will say, and I’ve always said it, if you’re going to define your power ceiling by specific named characters you have to run them for an entire patch.
So it’s a great thing they continue to follow this trend.
