Our fathers could have been brothers. He had his license revoked for getting too many DUIs. He shattered his foot in one wreck and had a bunch of metal pins in the bones which gave him a limp for the last 20 years of his life since his foot didn't have proper motion any more. I died when I was a kid and saw the other side. Seeing the life I had lived I felt like it was someone else. To live is to sleep and to die is to awaken. Ever since then part of me has been in this world and part in that one. It has been my curse. Everyone has always just seemed stupid to me since then, unaware, vapid, superficial, and materialistic. I have always refered to them as being drunk. When they die they will be sober though, and see what kind of life they lived, unaware of it at the time.
