RMS Titanic came to life for the 6th graders with a visit from surviving First Class and Third-Class passengers. They presented facts about ship and experiences.
Now, the 6th grade students will write an argumentative essay stating who or what they believe sank the Titanic.
On Saturday morning, Timberlane Music Department began their busy weekend. First stop was in Danville, in which the TRMS 8th Grade Band marched in Danville's Memorial Day parade and performed in the ceremony that followed.

Eighth graders on Team Atlas filled the PAC with courage, honesty, and heart during their annual Spoken Word Celebration on May 21st. Every voice mattered. Every story left an impact. It was more than a performance.

Our TRMS 8th graders had an incredible experience visiting Washington, DC, over April break! Throughout the trip, students explored our nation’s history, visited important landmarks and memorials, and gained meaningful learning experiences outside of the classroom.
TRMS found their book joy in the library while celebrating National Library Week. Events included poetry readings each morning; adding books to the Book Joy display; button making; a scavenger hunt, and a virtual author visit with Laurie Morrison.
Congratulations to the 8th Grade Math Team for placing 1st overall in the Regional Mathematical Competitions this year. They competed against three other middle schools working individually and as a team on a variety of challenging math problems. Outstanding work, Tigers!
At TRMS, our 7th graders had an amazing experience at this week's assembly with Wildlife Encounters, hosted by Colby! Students learned all about different animals and their unique adaptations, asked thoughtful questions, and even got some hands-on interaction.
Ms. Anderson’s 7th grade classes recently completed a free verse novel unit. To celebrate, the students made a web of themes and connections amongst the novels. Each line is a connection from one novel to the other.
The 4th Annual Readapalooza, a one-day book club, took place on March 25, 2026. Students and staff, plus three town librarians and one assistant, joined us this year. It was a fun afternoon with snacks and great conversations about books!

At TRMS, Mrs. Harb's 6th graders are busy getting their giant paper-mache projects ready for Wednesday's UA Night! UA Night is March 25th from 4-6 at TRMS. Hope to see you there.
TRMS came in 1st Place in The Great Middle School Cook-Off yesterday with their pork and shiitake gyoza! They received high praise from judges Bobby Marcotte, Bradley Wallace and William Dunkerley. Congratulations to Amber Figueras-Dunjo, Anna Newman, and Haley Therrien!
What does DNA really look like? Students broke down cells of strawberries to reveal the chromosomes inside the nucleus. Most students agreed that it looked a lot like thick spit when the strands of DNA clump together. We compared and contrasted it with our colorful models.

Student Senate and Vic Geary Senior Citizens celebrated St. Patrick’s Day together by decorating cookies and playing bingo! Lucky winners got to take home a pot of gold! The groups enjoy sharing stories and laughs together. It’s always a great time hosting our senior buddies!
6th grade TRMS students met with Peter Nhiany, a Lost Boy from Sudan. Students began their learning journey with nonfiction research and then completed an informational piece of text about Sudan.
